North Shore of Gitchi-Gami
Stay tuned for 2018 dates!
A nature immersion weekend program near Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada along the pristine shores of Lake Superior, created for individuals who are seekers of deep plant wisdom and land relations. This program takes place on a small semi-rural Healing Plant Sanctuary, home to over 100 plant species. Participants will hear the birth story and learn first hand how to create and care for your own plant sanctuary.
Ignite your innate nature wisdom and intelligence.
Cultivate connection with plants in mutual reciprocity.
Experience herbalism and wild medicine in sacred ways.
Engage with the land, water, tree and plant spirits along the shores of Gitchi-Gami.
Relationships evolve when there is balanced sharing, a give and take.
They are enriched when there is attentiveness, communication and commitment.
And so it is with the land.
When plants offer their healing gifts, there are many ways humans may give back during the process of engagement: intentional meeting, listening, harvesting, caring of harvested herbs, hand crafting medicines, respectful use of herbs, returning plants back to earth...and ultimately moving beyond care of plants, to the terra-landscapes that sustain all relations.
This weekend program will be guided by Willow and gigi through: engaging conversations, personal observations, nature meditations, land care practices, journaling, hikes, plant identification, wild crafting and medicine making--all valid sources of knowledge and wisdom within land relations, earth stewardship and botanical medicine.
